Function Hire T's & C's

General Conditions

All alcohol is to be purchased by the Tasman Club

Event must comply with Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Hirer is responsible for all guests and damage

Furniture may be moved but must be returned back to their original position

Decorations must be removed at the end of your event

Inside the Club and all deck areas are 100% smoke and vape free 

The pool tables are not to be used

Terms & Conditions

Payment
All hire fees must be paid in full prior to the event unless otherwise arranged in writing. Any additional costs (bar staff, cleaning fees, damages) will be invoiced within 7 days of the event. 

Bar Service
Bar staff are provided by Waimanako / Tasman Club at $30 per hour, per staff member at the cost of the hirer. No external alcohol will be brought into the premises. 

Alcohol Policy
No alcohol is to be brought onto the premises by the hirer or their guests. All alcohol must be agreed upon in advance and will be purchased and supplied by The Tasman Club on behalf of the hirer. Where a bar tab is requested, this must be arranged prior to the event and paid in advance. 

Cleaning & Damage
The hirer is responsible for leaving the venue in a clean and tidy condition. If the venue is not left to the Club’s satisfaction, a cleaning fee of $200.00 will be deducted from the bond. The hirer is responsible for any damage to the Club’s property during the hire period.

Cancellations
Cancellation fees apply as follows:
More than 6 weeks’ notice: $100.00
2 – 6 weeks’ notice: $200.00
– Less than 2 weeks’ notice: bond and licence fee (if appropriate) of $60.00.

Liability
The club accepts to responsibility for loss or damage to personal property of the hirer or guests. 

Damages
Any damage to The Tasman Club or Waimanako space (including broken glasses / plates) during time of hire will be the responsibility of the hirer and any costs incurred will be billed or deducted from the bond within 7 days after the event. 

Group Hire T's & C's (upper floor of the tasman club)

Terms and Conditions

1. Complete the signin/signout health & safety clipboard each session.

2. If you’d like to serve drinks / refreshments to your Group, please discuss arrangements for this, as the kitchen and Hospo area do not form part of the hire of the space.

3. Do not use the blue side exit door due to local regulations, except in an emergency.

4. Take any rubbish when leaving.

5. Sweep the floor (unless you’re opting for Waimanako to reset the space).

6. We require 72hrs notice for any session cancellations – otherwise, the session will be charged as normal.

7. After 3 consecutive cancellations, we may need to end your booking. Please contact us to avoid this happening.

8. If your group has opted to pack down and reset the space, please follow photo examples on page 4.

9. Close all windows / double fire exit doors when leaving.

10. Turn all lighting / heaters / fans off when leaving.

11. If your group is the last user in the building, set the alarm and ensure the entry door is closed securely.
